A Pretty Girl on the Piano

Auntie Pat presented Lola with a gorgeous dress which reminded her of a Nutcracker Angel.  It was perfect for the Christmas recital.  Lola played well and looked beautiful.  Lola said she felt like a Princess.

Someones been Naughty.....or Nice?

Lolas been asking quite a bit this year if Santa is real.  Ive told her hes' pretend, but she said she still wants to believe that he exists.  Look who we ran into while having dinner with GrandPa.

Lola and the Pink Pig

We were invited on a Girl Scout outing with Brownie troop 459.  The girls decided they wanted to ride the Pink Pig at Macys for their holiday get together.  Lola really enjoyed hanging out with the girls and will be joining the troop in January.  So get your orders ready to order Girl Scout Cookies.

Nutcracker Angel

Wow!  Lola you continue to amaze me. We loved watching Lola portray and angel with the Georgia Ballet.  Mommy is so proud!

Giving back

We had the opportunity to give back to our community the week of Thanksgiving.  We arranged lunches for neighborhood children who were home from school and unable to get school lunches.  Lola did a great job assembling lunches and distributing them.

Halloween 2014

our first stop at a neighbors house, you would think given the decorations... cemetery, blow up pumpkin, smoke machine and sound effects when the door opens etc...one would think they would have candy, a lot of candy!  We arrived at 6:30 and there was no candy, we asked to return in 30 minutes.  No trick No treat...unbelievable

Why does Halloween have to be scary....

This headless zombie is no match for Princess Jasmine.  PS ive told Lola this is the last year for the princess costumes....luckily she agreed!  We are taking suggestions

Trick or treaters.......

Bobbing for Apples with Bestie Brea

Lola spent the afternoon with bestie Brea and had the opportunity to bob for apples...which is hard to do when you don't have any front teeth....needless to say Lola's first time bobbing was unsuccessful...but she had a good ole time.

Blossoming Artist and 1st Grade Summer Show

The talented first grade put on a wonderful performance.  This years theme was "How does your garden grow".  if you look closely you can see Lola on stage on the right doing a Hoe Down.

The first graders worked hard to make their original works of art to have a successful art show.  She did a collage of a tree and said it reminded her of the collages by Romare Bearden.  We attended an exhibit of his work last month.  Way to make that connection Lola!
